In a time of increasing pressure and responsibility, many people make a conscious investment in their well-being. They pay attention to nutrition, practice yoga, exercise. Yet the place that shapes daily life most deeply is often overlooked: the home.

A home is more than beauty and design. The quality of a home shapes the quality of a life.

Homes are not neutral. They either support us — or they slowly deplete us. A home that recognizes and meets the needs of the people living in it carries them — especially in times of complexity, responsibility, and constant demand.

Well-being at home can be designed.

This is why I approach every home through three essential levels — the site, the structure, and the design. Only when the foundation is right can the visible elements unfold their full power.

The three levels

1. It begins with the site.
Every property has its own quality. It affects the people who live there long before the first piece of furniture is placed. Some sites give strength. Others quietly take it away.
Through Energetic Site Optimization, I assess the quality of a place, identify what compromises it, and realign the site — so it supports the people who will call it home. This work at the level of the site is the quiet, invisible foundation on which everything else is built.

2. Then comes the structure.
Once the site is aligned, I turn to the home itself. Floor plan, axes, circulation, proportion, orientation, and spatial hierarchy determine whether a home truly carries the people living in it — or whether they are working against it every day without knowing why.
I analyze this structure and refine it around the people who will live there: their routines, their rhythm, their need for retreat, connection, and restoration. The result is a home that feels coherent from the inside out — not through furnishing, but by design.

3. Only then comes the design.
Once the site and structure carry their weight, what most people notice first begins: material, light, color, texture, and form. They rest on a coherent foundation — which is precisely why they feel calm, natural, and enduring. Beauty built on a strong foundation doesn't need to be loud.
This is how homes are created that carry, protect — and heal.

How we live shapes our well-being and our quality of life — far more than most people realize. Design and style tend to take center stage. The effect a space has on the people who live in it does not. Yet that effect is what matters. It determines whether a home gives energy — or quietly drains it.

A home where we recharge and find rest is no accident.  The quality of a home shapes the quality of a life. And it can be designed. At the center of my work is not style. It's the person who lives there.

That's why every project begins with the Living Needs Assessment. Before I plan, I sit down with my clients — in depth. I ask what they need. Often, I help them recognize needs they hadn't put into words. Earlier living experiences matter too, especially from childhood — they shape us more than we know.

From this comes the Structure Diagnostic:a clear analysis of which spatial structures are coherent, and which truly meet my clients' needs. A space can only be a home once it reflects what a person needs.

Well-being at home can be designed.

  • How does this space affect the people who live in it?
  • What needs should it fulfill?
  • How can it support retreat, calm, and renewal?

My involvement continues through implementation — in one of two ways, depending on what best serves your project.

For select projects, I take on Full Implementation guiding the entire process personally, from construction documentation through on-site supervision. For others — when an established architecture or planning team is already in place, or when the location calls for closer local oversight — I work as Expert Supervisionbringing my expertise in at the decisive points, with the same standard of quality, in a more focused format.

In either case, I stay closely engaged with process quality and, above all, execution quality throughout every phase of construction. My background in construction management keeps the build on schedule and gives every tradesperson the structure they need to do their best work. I think of the building process like a set of gears: each step must engage the next, working hand in hand. This requires clear oversight, forward-looking coordination, and precision in every detail.

Energetic Site Optimization

Our well-being and our energy are shaped deeply by the environment we live in.

A home can strengthen us and support our energy — or work against it.

Coming home, finding rest, switching off, recharging, feeling like yourself: these are the needs my clients describe again and again. Just as often, they tell me it doesn't quite happen — without knowing why.

The effect of our surroundings on our inner well-being is often unconscious. We feel uneasy without being able to name the reason. We sleep poorly at home or in a hotel and wake up unrested. A building can feel heavy and oppressive, even when it's beautifully designed. This holds true for homes as much as for offices, hotels, and any space we spend extended time in.

The ground beneath us carries a history. Past events, and the emotions tied to them, shape the energy of a place — often across generations.

Through years of advanced training, I gained the knowledge to read and harmonize land on an energetic level. As a Tao Grand Master, I distinguish over 200 energy qualities and disturbance patterns, and bring them into a stable, supportive balance. I do this work in person, directly on site — at the property or the building itself. The home's power points are then activated and raised to an energy level that supports the people living there.

Well-being can be designed  — even at the level of the site, long before the first room takes shape.

For my private residential projects, I treat Energetic Site Optimization as a foundational step — the energetic groundwork that ideally comes before the spatial diagnostic, so that structure and design can reach their full effect. It can also be booked as a standalone service, independent of any work on the home, the residence, or its interior.

This work exists on its own, purely energetic level. It's carried out with discretion and can take place in a home that's already lived in, or during construction and renovation.
My goal is to create places that give their residents a true tailwind for life.

Send me your plans — I'll put together a tailored proposal for you.

About me

Isabella Köberle - Innenarchitektur Stuttgart

I was born and raised in Kempten, in the Allgäu region of southern Germany. After finishing high school in Stuttgart, I studied interior architecture in Wiesbaden and, starting in 1993, worked at my father's interior architecture firm, Köberle Einrichtung & Design.

Growing up in the Allgäu, and my first years of professional work in Kempten, shaped me deeply — my connection to the landscape and to nature remains part of my work today. At the same time, I always felt the pull to look beyond the Allgäu horizon: geographically, but above all in my own growth and learning.

In 1998, I began a part-time master's program in construction management. The knowledge was valuable — but it didn't answer the questions that truly occupied me: Why do some spaces feel right, and others don't? What makes a house a true home?

In 1999, I began my training in Feng Shui, followed by several years of training as a Grand Master in Tao Geomancy under Grand Master Prof. Dr. Yes T.Y. Lim. This training opened up a new way of thinking and fundamentally expanded my professional range. At the heart of Feng Shui lies a single question: What truly supports us? Which qualities of a place and its built environment strengthen us — and which weaken us? How do we create an environment that carries us?

In 2005, I founded my own practice: good living energy,in Stuttgart. From the start, the name reflected my expanded way of working — combining technical knowledge with energetic understanding into one offering that sees the whole person. Good living energy for my clients has been at the center of my work ever since.

My technical training and my energetic training come together into a body of knowledge rarely found in this combination: I bring a rational, analytical perspective together with a deep energetic understanding — two dimensions that become one in my work.
